First round, first minute. Ladies and gentlemen, Bald Bull goes dooooown!
DING. DING. DING.
A Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! fanart featuring (my) the hero Little Mac, I've fanarted him before, once, and thought that it was time for another. This was done kinda quick, but over a long period of time for some reason. Little Mac knocks out Bald Bull, you have to hit him right in the gut when he's charging you with his Bull Charge for a K.O.
There's more to this picture however, it's a homeage to a classic boxing picture featuring Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston from their fight in 1965. Tributed picture looks like this Pretty neat huh I feel like I've realy captured the Punch-Out!! feel, every color is represented from the original game and so on. Turned out really cool....gotta make more of these "Little Mac in famous Boxing pics"-pictures
Was done digitally btw, the whole piece.
*Mac should've been playable in Brawl. However the AT rocks. **The "Little Mac" in "Super Punch-Out!!" is not Little Mac. ***I love this game. The first Video Game I Played. Ever. **** The date is the date when MTPO was released here in Sweden, Europe!
I just got the Punch Out for Wii, and although I haven't been as long as a fan as most people, I am absolutely crazy about this series. And I can tell, you have captured everything Punch Out is about.
I've found something, when Mac won in M.T's P.O, he clapped each hand while pushing his arms into the air, in punch-out Wii Mac has three victory poses.
1. Mac puts his arm in a 'flex those muscles' manner while facing the screen. 2. Mac jumps while punching the air then stares into the sky. 3. Mac's badly bruised and can only (slowly) raise an arm. Doc enters and yanks his arm up saying 'He can always take a whooping!'
Also (a bit inaccurate but still can sorta count) 'The Challenger' had two victory poses, both simular to each other with the exception that when he wins a title, T.C faces behind a punches the air while shouting 'right on!'
Punch-Out NES is one of my favorite Nintendo games... the series is pretty high up on my list of fav Nintendo series too. But the NES one had the feeling of being in the Big Apple, and the feeling of Rocky and MGM style stereotypes showing up.
The Wii one is amazing so far, too. Captures the feeling of the NES one and the SNES cartooniness. This picture is amazing and a great tribute to boxing in and outside of the WVBA. Great job!
Thanks man, glad you liked it. THe original Punch-Out was all about the feeling, and I hope that the new one will give me as much. More fanarts coming up I guess
I don't really like this that much one anymore, my skills and my tools are a bit better now than way back there xD Oh well maybe I'll re do it or I'll do something new.
Excellent! You've definitely captured the feel of Punch-Out!!. By keeping the colors bright and not trying to give it a darker mood or make it bloody, like I've seen elsewhere. Even Mac's face is accurate to what's shown in the game. Although at first I thought the victim would be Glass Joe. But Bald Bull works even better. Again, excellent job with this!
awesome, this too is a great game from my childhood not to mention im a boxing fan so the homage to muhammas ali and liston is awesome. Over all nice job really captured the feel of punchout.
Hehe, thanks man really glad you like the game, It's the first game I ever played so it's really special for me, great game, truly. Glad you noticed the homeage, I like these kind of pictures myself
new game coming out soon, just might do a new one.
