Ryuk - Apples grow on...

Title: Apples grow on telephone poles

Well, shit this was a pain. But it was fun nonetheless (or I wouldn't have done it of course)

This here is Ryuk, on a japanese telephone pole (wich got pretty cut off in the pic xD). he's the Death God from the manga (/anime/game) Death Note.
Great series, cool plot, nice artwork.
Got it all.

Ryuk is one of, if not the, coolest character in the series I'd say.
His design is cool as hell, and very detailed (!). Plus his persoanality in general through the series is priceless.
All lazy and stuff, doesn't give a damn about most things.
And he apparently loves apples.

Damn, was a long time since I drew a monsterish monster thing, last time ought to be the freak( 1 and 2 ) I did some year ago, pretty funny cause it was in this "genre" where it all began so to say.
I've drawn monsters, guys with guns and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles since I could draw nice to get back to the basics once in a while. Guess I've been doing the first and the second lately, time for some Turtles soon I'd say.
Plus the pure stress granted for drawing all those crazy and insane details monsters and unworldy creatures tend to have.
I like it, always have.

Did this on a A3 too (297 × 420 mm ; 11.7 × 16.5 in) cause I thought "the hell, I always tend to draw to far down or to big for an A4 anyways.
Kinda turned out I did this to big too, guess I'll have to work on that.
Was Pain to scan and forge together too, seeing my scanner only takes A4s. but hopefully that won't show in the pic. Hopefully I'll drawn A4ish pic on my A3s in the future.
